1. Start by defining your purpose

This will help you cyrstalise why you want to create your course, how it aligns with your broader goals, and how it contributes to the current landscape.

  • Ask yourself why your course is important. What real-world problems or challenges will it address? What’s the broader significance and contribution of your course?
  •  Define how your course purpose aligns with your broader business and life goals. This will help create a sense of coherence and relevance for both you and your learners.
  • Write a clear purpose statement that concisely articulates the purpose of your course. This will be the guiding light for your course creation and delivery.

  • Research competitors and similar online courses to understand both the demand for your course, and the competition.
  • Identify what makes your course unique and how it adds value to the existing industry landscape.
  • Ask your potential learners what they want so you can validate your course before you start creating it.
  • Start building a presence where your potential learners hang out (online and in person) to estblish your visibility and credibility.
